The Complete Game

This is what the complete game looks like.

Step 1 - Create a New Sprite

Click the paintbrush button to make a new sprite.

Step 2 - Rename the New Sprite

Click the blue-white "i" button, and rename the sprite "Hammer".

Step 3 - Draw the Hammer

Use the rectangle tool to make the brown handle.

Step 4 - Draw the Hammer (more)

Use the rectangle tool to make the black hammer head. IT MUST BE ON THE RIGHT SIDE!

Step 5 - Set the Costume Center

Click the crosshairs button once, then click the left edge of the handle once, then click the brush tool button once.

Step 6 - Add Code to the Hammer

Add the following code to the Hammer sprite:

Step 12 - Select the Stage

Click on the stage icon in the lower left area. The code area on the left should become blank.

Step 13 - Add the Score Variable

Click on "Make a Variable" and give it the name "Score".

Step 14 - Add the Time Left Variable

Click on "Make a Variable" and give it the name "Time Left".

Step 15 - Add Code to the Stage

Step 20 - Rename the Cat Sprite

Rename the cat sprite from "Sprite1" to "Cat"

Step 21 - Delete the Second Costume

In the Costumes tab, delete costume2.

Step 22 - Click on "Convert to Bitmap"

Click on the "Convert to Bitmap" button. The drawing tool buttons will move to the left side.

Step 23 - Draw an Oval for the Hole

Draw an oval under the cat. Make sure the oval is wider than the cat. Click on the brush tool when you are done.

Step 24 - Duplicate the Costumes

Right-click the costume and select duplicate. Do this 4 times to make 5 costumes in total.

Step 25 - Select the First Costume, Erase the Entire Cat

Click on the costume #1.

Step 26 - Select the Second Costume, Erase the Cat from the Nose Down

Click on the costume #2.

Step 27 - Select the Cat's Head, Move It Over the Hole

Click on the Select button, then drag a rectangle over the entire cat's head. The blue rectangle will appear around the cat.

Step 28 - Select the Third Costume, Erase the Body

Click on the costume #3, and use the eraser tool to erase the cat's body.

Step 29 - Move the Cat's Head over the Hole

Drag the cat's head over the hole, so it looks like the head is peeking out of the hole.

Step 30 - Select the Fourth Costume, Erase the Legs

Click on costume #4, and use the eraser tool to erase the cat's legs.

Step 31 - Move the Cat's Body over the Hole

Drag the cat's body over the hole, so it looks like the cat is coming out of the hole even more. Then click on the brush tool button when you are done.

Step 32 - Duplicate Costume #4

Now we want it to look like the cat is falling back down the hole. Right-click costume #3 and select Duplicate.

Step 33 - Duplicate Costume #3

Now we want it to look like the cat is falling back down the hole. Right-click costume #3 and select Duplicate.

Step 34 - Duplicate Costume #2

Now we want it to look like the cat is falling back down the hole. Right-click costume #3 and select Duplicate.

Step 35 - Go Back to the Scripts Tab

Click on the Scripts tab.

Step 36 - Create the "Was Hit" Variable

Click on the "Make a Variable" button. Name the new variable "Was Hit" and make sure that "For this sprite only" is checked. (It's important to check this box!)

Step 37 - Add Code to the Cat Sprite

Add the following code to the Cat sprite.

Step 38 - Add Code to the Cat Sprite
